This is the first book I have read by Ben MacIntyre and I can see myself becoming a big fan of his. It’s thorough, well researched, and intriguing, full of personal details and anecdotes that really made the characters come alive. MacIntyre seemed to me to be an author fairly sympathetic to his subject, which made me wonder how differently Adam Worth would have come across if he had been written about by someone who really hated him. I am looking forwards to reading more books by Ben MacIntyre.
